EduLab has become the first company in the education industry to be identified as a partner of NVIDIA’s “Inception Program”

EduLab, Inc. (Location: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Junichi Takamura; hereinafter referred to as EduLab) has become the first company in the education industry to be identified by NVIDIA Corporation (Location: Santa Clara, California; President and CEO: Jensen Huang; hereinafter referred to as NVIDIA), a developer and seller of GPUs, as a partner of its “Inception Program”, which is a program that helps AI startups (※).
※ As of the end of June, 2017. As a corporation excluding schools and research institutes.
In response to this, we have purchasedan AI super computer DGX-1 made by NVIDIA and use it for our “handwriting recognition technology based on deep learning technology”, currently in development, in order to provide a more effective marking system of written tests in the field of testing. This will enable us to develop faster and improve recognition accuracy which will lead to practical uses.
NVIDIA Inception Program
NVIDIA Inception Program aims to nurture startups who are revolutionizing industries with advances in artificial intelligence (AI) and data science. The Inception Program is designed to be a virtual incubator program which helps the members during the critical stages of product development, prototyping, and deployment. This includes a customized set of ongoing benefits, from hardware grants and marketing support to training with deep learning experts.

Future use of the “Inception Program” at EduLab
EduLab will further accelerate the research and development of our “handwriting recognition technology based on deep learning technology” with the support of NVIDIA through this program. We will also strive to realize next-generation educational solutions that bring AI technologies such as deep learning into EdTech (educational technology) including automatic marking and adaptive learning.
